Speaking of the cargo station, it is actually a very interesting place. All inspections, packaging problems, and marking problems all occur at the cargo station. Even a series of actions such as changing labels and changing packaging involve the cargo station. Of course, the most basic functions of the cargo station are indispensable: warehousing, weighing, board, weighing, etc.
Every link and every step may have problems, and we have to deal with them. But I can’t finish him all in one day. Today, let’s talk about the board-playing issue that everyone is most concerned about, and tell you about some common tools that will be used in the board-playing process. Boarding is a very time-consuming and labor-intensive process. Except that the pallet can be directly forked up by a forklift, which can save some effort, all goods, including box goods📦, large packages, etc., are all hand-made . All of our hauling brothers and board-playing brothers really worked hard. In addition, if it is summer, there is no air conditioner in the cargo station, and it is not easy to do physical work against the sultry air in the cargo station. Of course, before hitting the board, you will first find the goods, then put all the goods on a yellow board, and directly use the forklift to fork the goods out, otherwise you will have to pick up a piece of goods. This approach is too stupid.

After we have loaded all the goods, if the packaging of the goods is a little loose, we need to reinforce the plate shape to prevent the plate from collapsing. At this time, you need to use the corner of the paper. Paper corners are long like this.

These paper corners are placed on the four corners of each board to fit the goods. Of course, these paper corners are not sticky, and they will fall off after they are put on. Therefore, after finishing the work, wrap the goods around the paper corner with a twine to fix the paper corner. As the name suggests, the paper corner is made of paper, but it is not very brittle, because it is actually made of many, many papers, so it is very strong and hard. In fact, I seriously doubt that these papers are kraft paper, otherwise they would not have such good hardness. After playing, the whole shape of the board will look much better and will be much stronger. This can effectively prevent the laid board from collapsing. By the way, these paper corners aren’t cheap yet.
Hemp Rope
Then there’s the twine. Although hemp rope is relatively brittle, it can also help us fix the shape of the board very well. In addition to the usage of wrapping around the corner of the paper just mentioned, in fact, in some cases, the hemp rope can be wound without the corner of the paper. For example, pallets. Because the hemp rope needs to be tightened, if it is some soft goods, or the package is easily damaged, it cannot be directly wound on the hemp rope. Some pallets with high value also need to be protected with paper corners before they can be wound with hemp rope. So it depends on the nature of the goods to decide how to use the hemp rope. If the outer packaging of the goods is relatively hard, of course, you are not afraid of tightening the hemp rope. But why use hemp rope at this time? Let’s take an example, if there is a pallet that is well packaged, and we hit it on the board, how can I make sure these pallets don’t move around? Just use hemp rope to fasten them, and then seal the net. But don’t think that the hemp rope must only be hit horizontally, in fact, the hemp rope can also be hit vertically. Hemp ropes can be used to secure cargo whenever necessary. Hemp rope is simply a sharp tool for fixing goods at will. Of course, you can’t use it indiscriminately, it depends on the situation, because as I said just now, the hemp rope is a bit brittle. If it is fixed by the hemp rope alone, there may be problems.

The first one is the rolled up tarpaulin, which is what it looks like when we take it back. When we want to use it, we will unfold it, take the appropriate length, and cover it on the ULD. Sometimes, if it is a place with a long rainy season, or a place where it rains frequently, it is also possible to cover two layers of rain cloth, which is more secure. This does not stipulate that only one layer can be played or how many layers must be played.
The rain cloth is a layer of waterproof cloth that is sealed outside after the entire ULD is played. The effect of this rain cloth is obvious, the material is impermeable material (I don’t know what material it is, it is impermeable anyway :p), so it can prevent the ULD from being damaged due to rain after being laid. wet. It may get wet here, it may be when the ULD is pulled out of the bottom of the machine to prepare for installation, it may be when the board is finished and the ULD is placed in the open air, or it may be that the cargo is exposed after the plane arrives at the destination. when in the open air. There are many places where there is a chance of exposure to moisture. Therefore, the role of the rain cloth is very important. Let’s see what the rain cloth is like.

After talking about hemp rope, let’s talk about another kind of rope. That’s the net. Net rope is standard. It is provided by every airline and shipped with the board. The few things I mentioned just now are the materials provided by the board company itself. The net rope is the airline’s own asset. So let’s take a look at what they look like.

The role of the net rope is to fix the ULD. However, unlike the hemp rope, the net rope is sealed outside after the entire ULD is played. It means that the net rope is wrapped with hemp rope. Of course, between the net rope and the hemp rope, there is also a layer of rain cloth. Just like the picture above. Since the net rope is the airline’s own, it can be perfectly adapted to the ULD. How is the net rope fixed? It is to put the net rope on the goods, and then fasten the four sides of the ULD with the net buckle that comes with the net rope. Generally speaking, the standard is 5 buttons on the long side and 4 buttons on the short side. It is also possible that because the net rope has been used for a long time, part of the net buckle will also be lost due to disrepair over time. At this time, as long as the entire net rope can be fixed and the goods will not move, it is not a big problem. Of course, some airlines have strict regulations, if the net is deducted, it cannot be used. These airlines operate very well. When we are closing the net, we must pay attention to what degree of net rope can be beaten? Not too tight, not too loose. If it is tight, it may damage the packaging of the goods, and if it is loose, it will not be able to fix the goods. Generally, when we lift the net rope with our hands, it can bounce back immediately after we retract our hands. Such flexibility is appropriate.

As can be seen from this picture, there is a slot on the edge of the ULD, which is used for buckle. And this slot is a long strip, which can be buckled in any position. According to my measurements, the position from the edge of the board to the buckle is about 7-10cm. Therefore, when playing the board, whether it is the long side or the short side, it cannot be completely finished, otherwise it will press the board buckle.
