Hello folks, this is Karron.
For all cargo exporting a country and importing another, the customs clearance is a mandatory process so the cargo can be legally registered in both countries.
For general cargos, exporting cargo is a normal procedure that almost every forwarding agent can do. But is every forwarding agent capable of customs clearance in the destination? Probably not.
There are probably 2 major options of doing customs clearance. 1st, the agent can find a local broker to do that for you, this is the most normal way of doing it, but it takes more time and cost higher.
And the 2nd way of doing it is some agents, they can also handle the customs clearance for you in the destination. They usually have a warehouse in the destination and have established a long-term relationship with the local authority.
As a result, you will only need to pick up your cargo from the local warehouse.
The 2nd way might be a better option for most people. But this way isn’t always available. As said before, the agent have to explore the market and invest in the local market, and also need to deal with the local customs office to familiar with the local law.
Talk to me and find out where we can do the 2nd way for you.
